Starting next week we’ll be offering barbell seminars. The goal of these seminars will be to get you squatting, dead lifting, pressing and bench pressing correctly. We’ll spend roughly an hour per movement for this initial seminar. We’ll talk about how to incorporate strength training into your current program. First Winter pull
Garret is the first one to pull the tire this winter. He’s getting ready for the Scott Firefighter Stair Climb in March. It’s a fundraiser race where firefighters climb 69 stairs and gain 788 feet of elevation in the Columba Center in their full bunker gear and SCBA. Some folks train for this on stair machines while a select few put themselves in the elements.

Mitch is definitely one of members that gets it. He is back after an injury slowed him down last year. He recently performed well (he fights) over the weekend. However he noted some of his weaknesses that he needed to improve on. He came up with this drag, flip, and hit workout. So far he’s already gone through one training partner. Keep it up Mitch, even if you have to train alone.
